And let's face it... this is stupid.

"OMG! Gays are immoral! Because we only want the most upright citizens to train for deadly combat."

Contrary to what is apparently the popular military belief, gays are not going to try and have buttsex with every soldier they see. But hey, let's kick 10,000 troops (including 50 Arabic speakers) out of the armed forces anyway, because it's not like we're short on troops because of an over-extended, poorly-defined, poorly-planned and poorly-supported series of conflicts.

See, what they're worried about (ostensibly) is the morale of the troops.

To which I say BULLSHIT.

Sub-standard gear, the whole Walter Reed debacle, and increasing the lengths of the tours of duty are probably having much more of a problem on morale then any gays in the military possibly could.

"Sorry that your unit is under-manned due to casualties. We'd get you some more troops, but some of them were gay so we kicked them out."

"Sorry that you have to stay in Iraq or Afghanistan longer then we originally told you. We might have had replacement troops ready by now, but we kicked out a whole bunch because they were gay."

"Sorry about not taking care of you properly after you were injured in Iraq or Afghanistan. We can't really blame this on the gays yet, but we're working on it. And hey, we fired some top brass, which solves everything... well, except for the actual problems."
