The ministry warned that if anyone used the U.N. resolution to infringe on the country's sovereignty, North Korea "will deal merciless blows at him through strong actions."
They have certain types of missiles, actually. Rodong-1 and 2 missiles, which have a range of 1000-1300 km, Scud missiles, and long-range Taepodong-1 and 2 missiles (the first stage of the Taepodong is a Nodong-1 IRBM, so it has a longer range then the Nodong missiles, probably in the lower end of a 3000-5000 km range, given that it's North Korea doing this).
Nothing that really could hit the U.S., but they could easily be used against South Korea and Japan. And that does have to be taken into consideration. Japan hasn't been on friendly terms with North Korea for some years, and they've just severely restricted trading with them as a result of Kim Jong-Il's tiny dick syndrome. South Korea? Even antsier then Japan. In part because of the military build-up of the NKs, but also because in August of this year, yeah, just a few months back, North Korea declared the armistice that ended the Korean war to be null and void.
