ye freaking gods

So, among various TV shows I watched over the weekend, I caught an episode of "Who Wants to Be a Superhero", the latest in the ever-descending spiral of 'reality' TV. My God, this show is bad. I mean bad. I don't know how much they're paying Stan Lee to be part of this turkey, but it has to be a lot.

The only possible redeeming factor of this show is the elimination process, where you get to watch Stan Lee bitch out these "superheroes". Watching these people be verbally bitch-slapped by an 84 year old man is more amusing then I can possibly relate.

I believe it's only had one episode so far, but three people were already eliminated. One of the three was actually a plant (his 'superhero' name was the word "traitor" spelled backwards), another was eliminated for talking about making his superhero character into a toy line for his toy business, and the third one was eliminated for failing the first mission. (Changed into his secret identity in public, and ignored the 'side quest' of helping a girl find her mom.)

Hey now!

I think that Who Wants to be a Superhero is one of the few reality shows that has been worth watching.

It's obvious it doesn't take itself seriously, and it is absolutely hilarious.

Maybe it helps that I know people who applied to be on the show...
