Things that make you go 'ewwwww' (and make you say, "WELL DUH!")

Phoenix named 'Sweatiest City in U.S.

Next up, those scintillating reports of "Seattle found to be damp and mildew prone" and "Cleveland: Boring as fuck-all"

Late I know but this amused me... read a study in one of my journals, apparently done by incredibly bored sociologists, which rated the country's most literate cities.

I was annoyed to discover San Francisco at only five in the top ten. Seattle, apparently, is the most literate city in the nation.

Do you put any faith at all into such studies? I mean obviously they're done by bored scientists, or scientists so pissed-off and frustrated that no one will fund the things they want to study which might actually be very useful (excellent example: placebo research) that they apply for funding for stuff that's total bullshit and use it just out of spite. But they're still scientists, so it's likely some actual logic and methodology went into these determinations. Whaddaya think?

(Spying on you, BTW. I'm assuming you don't mind, but if you do, feel free to tell me to fuck off. You amuse me and I am seriously lacking new sources of amusement.)
