Status: Downloading

The WoW patch is downloading buggerdly slow. I suspect this may be due to the approximately 3,219,712 other people in the U.S. downloading it at the same time as I am.

Incredibly poor timing on their part.

Well, that and the fact that since Blizzard implemented a torrent-like download, if no-one is past byte X in the download, only a few are getting it directly from the source, everyone else is getting it from them.

Unlike EQ2, which checks each and every frigging time I log on to see if I have the latest version by checking each file. Yep, that means with each expansion, adventure pack, and additional extra file I get, the check process gets longer.

Thanks for reminding me. I'll kick off the download at lunch, and it might be close to done by the time I get back home.

oh, and quit complaining so much about rogues:

Rogues

* Fixed a bug which prevented Vanish from working properly under certain conditions.
* Seal Fate will now correctly provide a bonus combat point upon landing a critical strike.

vs.

Warriors

* Rage generated from Unbridled Wrath and Shield Specialization will now display properly in the combat log.

Oh wow.... the combat log will be more accurate...

The last two or three patches have contained the same note on Vanish. They fucking broke it a while ago, and each patch since then has claimed to fix it and been wrong.

Plus, considering that Warriors have been having less and less of a problem with Rage given that increasing DPS on weapons means more Rage... well, there's not a lot of things that need to be corrected on them.
