the Justice Department AND the FBI are looking into the Trayvon Martin shooting.

Considering as the shooter isn't as clean as previously reported (he had an expunged arrest for assault a few years back), and all the other problems with the account of the shooting (including some of the cops apparently badgering a witness or two), let's hope this goes somewhere.

I had some whiskey-infused aged cheddar, imported from Ireland last night.

.... I need more.

Unless the polls are completely fucking wrong (and hey, they have been a couple times already this presidential season), Romney should win Illinois handily, causing Gingrich to insist that he's still not going to drop out.

Personally, I'm not sure why Gingrich is still in the race. Paul, sure, he's nuts. He doesn't care much that he doesn't stand a chance. He's more about proving a point then winning the race.

Gingrich? He's fairly lizardlike in his morals, but he's not a huge idiot (like say, Rick Perry)... and he's got to know that it's highly unlikely that he's going to be the VP choice for either Romney or Santorum. (Of course, Santorum is hoping that Romney crashes and burns in Illinois... and New York, and California... but I don't see that happening.)

Looks like Romney is going to pretty handily take Illinois. My roommate pointed that while Gingrich is almost certainly not going to get the VP nod in any conceivable circumstances, he might be holding out in the race for a chance for a nice Cabinet position.

Which, honestly, should scare the hell out of people. I mean, Gingrich as a potential Secretary of State?

Anyway, I'm sure the later hours of today, and all tomorrow will be full of Santorum, Gingrich and Paul (well, maybe not Paul) saying why not coming in first in Illinois is not a bad thing.
