God is apparently a Patriots fan. (sarcasm intended)

So, outgoing Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour pardoned a bunch of criminals right before he left office. Nothing new there, right?

Well, some of them were convicted of murder, or armed robbery. The fact that they did odd jobs around the Governor's mansion as prison trustees probably had nothing to do with their pardon (sarcasm intended).

Well, it turns out that that those five prisoners, (and 21 other prisoners) didn't meet a filing deadline which requires 30 days public notice that they are seeking a pardon. Presumably, this is so people can testify for or against the pardon.

Well, the other 21 prisoners hadn't been released yet, so they're staying in the greybar hotel for now, but those other five... (four murderers, one armed robber) they're gone. Like a fart in the wind. They're supposed to check in every 24 hours as a condition of their release. They haven't.

Ooooops.

Rick Perry insists, repeatedly, that Virginia can't have a primary without him.

Sorry, shithead, but the judge who issued the initial ruling was right. You knew the conditions to get on the ballot months ago, and YOU. FUCKED. UP. You've got no-one to blame but yourself and your Virginia campaign staff. But that would require you to admit personal responsibility, which damned few politicians do anyway.
