Last week, it rained every damn day. Well, I don't know about Sunday, as I slept through most of it, but last week, I don't recall seeing it anything but overcast the entire week.

Rainy, gloomy, depressing... this is what people in Seattle must see ALL THE TIME. (Thankfully, I am spared flannel-clad buskers trying to be the new Nirvana, and tragically hip coffee addicts spouting philosophy.)

Of course, since the sun is out, I am inside, on the computer.

Why? Because even with the sun out, it's really damn cold out, even for mid-October. It's supposed to drop to 40 degrees tonight, although it's supposed to warm up a bit later in the week. I'm fully expecting a couple of days with mid-80s temperature next week, because this is South Carolina and the weather is fucked up beyond belief here, but it's probably going to be a fucking cold winter this year.

And highly likely to be without snow.

We (the U.S.) claim that some of the insurgents in Iraq are being trained, backed, and/or supplied by Iran, and Iran says "NUH UH!" and gets a case of the chapped ass over the suggestion that the insurgents could be anything other then people pissed at the U.S. backed regime in Iraq.

But when insurgents in Iran blow shit up, the Iranian reaction is to say that "Hey, the U.S. and Britain are behind this shit." because it couldn't possibly be a shit-upon minority in a repressive regime acting in the only way available to them, especially after the recent Iranian election folderol (where the Iran government managed to count millions of ballots in a few hours, beat up and imprisoned protestors, and so forth).

Nah. Has to be U.S./Britain backed insurgents. Has to be. (Let's not forget that there are heavily armed drug smugglers in that region of Iran as well.)
