Okay, when I left work this morning, it was actually below freezing. Not much below freezing, mind you. But it's supposed to get below freezing twice more this week. And, of course, it's supposed to be clear skies both times.
I want snow. Yes, I hate the cold, but I like snow.
Mostly because, even though I live a few blocks from work, and two of my last three managers have said that even if it snows, I probably have to come in... snow means that there won't be any real customer traffic during the night.
What I'd like is about a foot of snow. Yes, this is South Carolina (more to the point, the Midlands) and therefore, that shit ain't likely. Sure, in the Upstate, it can happen. *sigh* But I'd like a foot of snow. So I can watch people here in the Deep South loose their fucking minds. Yeah, it would also lead to, no doubt, a few fatalities from people who don't know how to drive in snow, but we have people crashing their cars on bright sunny days too....
I want a foot of snow, because I know for a fact that if it snowed that much while I was at work, I would get a phone-call asking if we were open. Because I want to reply "There's a foot of snow on the ground. The only reason I'm answering the phone is because I'm stuck here. No. Wait for the thaw to get your copies."
