As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have to work Thanksgiving night. Actually, because my store is going to be open Thanksgiving Day, it's robbing me of two days off, because in years prior, we would close Wednesday night and not re-open until Friday morning.

Now, the bonus pay for working the holiday will come in handy, but that's not the plan.

The plan is this: Don't tell the customer we're going to be open for Thanksgiving. 85% or more of them will assume that we're not going to be open anyway, so that's not an issue. Heck, a lot of our walk-in traffic probably won't even be in town (God bless and keep the college students... far away from me.) And if anyone asks, I'm not going to lie to them. But I am content with letting them believe we will be closed and if they don't need their work until Friday or later, that's all well and good.
