Typing this from my computer. Now working again. Mostly. It seems to boot up a bit slower. May have to investigate that. All my files are here, though. (I'm planning on replacing the agp440.sys file though.)

It insists that the paging size is too small, and you know what? It's right. It is. It's set to 0 Mb. How'd that happen? Beats me. I tried to reset it once and it insisted it needed to shut down before it the changes could apply. Tried that. Didn't work too well. Told it to restart. It got the "shut down" portion of that correct, but didn't bring it back up. Not fun. But it's starting to be a functional computer again.

Update: Ooookay... it apparently doesn't want to save any changes to paging size. Odd indeed.

Update to the update: Woo! Got the paging size fixed without having to re-install! We likes not having to re-install. Almost as much as we likes our Precious. (And we hates nasty Hobbits!)

First, I'd like to thank everyone who helped me with my computer problems or offered support. (Oddly, my brothers were completely absent in this regard. I wonder if that means something... you jerks. :P ) Without you, I'd have weathered this much worse then I did. Thanks.

Second, Hellboy comes out this Friday. I work this Friday. I will not be able to see it then. I do not work on Sunday, however. This can be considered a hint to [livejournal.com profile] taser or [livejournal.com profile] pinballsorceror or my other friends in Columbia. (No, going to see the Punisher movie is not an acceptable substitute. It looks like it sucks. Besides, I've already seen one Punisher movie, thanks.)

I want to see this movie at some point before it goes to DVD. I am even willing to buy reasonable movie snacks or drinks.

I also want to see Van Helsing (aka Castlevania: The Movie) when it comes out. Same thing applies.

The smell of cinammon and incense filled the room. It reminded him of Cindy, and that wonderful and terrible night in San Francisco so long ago. The thought alone brought tears to his eyes.

He couldn't isolate where the smell was coming from, but it didn't matter. Images of her face, the sound of her voice, the smell of her body raced through his mind. A wistful smile crept across his face as he remembered the good times, the not so good times, and that last night with her.

Then the switch was thrown by a man behind a glass wall, and as the killing voltage coursed through him, his last thought was of Cindy.

Author's note: No, I have no idea where this came from. It just came to me in the elevator ride up six flights.
