From the sickbed (well, sick computer chair)
Yes, I'm going back to bed soon, assuming I don't need to get up to throw up (again).
But before I go... can someone explain to me why curling is a sport? I mean, seriously. What the fuck? I actually watched some of this the other day, and the guys doing this looked like no kind of athlete I've ever seen. One of them, I swear, had a beer-belly.
Don't get me wrong, I can easily see that there is some level of skill involved, but there's a level of skill involved in playing pinball, and that fucker isn't at either the Summer or Winter Olympics. It's just... I don't know... any "sport" that depends just as much on a couple guys with glorified ice-scrapers as the guy actually moving the whatsis (rock? Is that what it's called?)... well, it's just not the same as say, soccer, or pole-vaulting, or something like that. Those are sports. Those are athletic endeavors just a bit more worthy of being Olympic events...

It's still better than the idea of Olympic Chess they've been talking about though...

I'm just waiting for some American Olympic coach to realize that if he could train an Ozark hillybilly to ski very well, they'd win the biathlon gold medal every time.
