In less then 48 hours, a building two blocks from where I live and work will be "imploded". Brought down. Explosives will go off and the former Radisson hotel (bought by USC years ago as waste of cash) will be no more. I plan on getting as close as possible (and reasonably safe) and filming it.

What gets me is that the Shell station a block closer to the soon to be demolished hotel was warned "you probably ought to close". Us? Not a damn thing. Unless, of course, they told the manager and he just didn't pass the word along.

Well, they do sell gas there. And you sell ink and paper. Big difference.

Any word on if ya'll are going to stop being a 24 hour store?

No. No word. In other words, I don't know. In the event that we are going to cease being 24 hours, it would not happen for months and months down the road, so in all likelyhood, whoever is in charge of making that decision hasn't made it yet.
