It should not be this freaking hard to make an animated gif in Adobe ImageReady.

Well, I've never done it before. My default icon was made by my old room-mate. I suspect it might be somewhat easier trying it when I'm not so tired. (Depending on how much I have to do at work tonight, I might do it there. I think we have ImageReady at work. We have several other pieces of Adobe software.)
