I have been selected for Jury Duty.

The week before ICC.

Now I get to explain this to management at work and see what can be arranged.

Fucking joy.

Do you have to report? I mean, if it's outside of Columbia, you should be able to call them up and say "I don't own a car, so who from there will be picking me up?"

Other than that, be sure to go in dressed neatly, hair combed and all that, and be sure to mention that you have two college degrees. Defense laywers hate that crap.

As for work, they have to let you go. It's the law. Now, what they've got to do w/regards to the fact that you work third shift, I don't know.

All else fails, just honestly explain to the judge that it is a severe hardship, both on your professional life and personal life at this time for you to have jury duty.

Tell them that you think that if the police arrested someone, they must be guilty, because you don't think police make those kind of mistakes...
