Mmmm.... Mongolian Beef is good!
Now that lunch is taken care of...
What I liked about Justice League Unlimited:
Green Arrow
Captain Atom getting the snot kicked out of him
Green Arrow
Green Lantern getting the snot kicked out of him
Green Arrow
The boxing-glove arrow
Green Arrow
And Green Arrow complaining about the transporters
What I didn't like about Justice League Unlimited:
1) Well, it looks like J'onn J'onzz will never be leaving the tower again. I realize how hard it is to write plots where you want the heros to have to work for information, and yet you want a telepath on the team, but I'm still kind of bummed out over the idea of him being stuck on the duty of assigning people rather then going out himself.
2) Wait, you have a moving, non-dispersing nuclear "accident", and you only send four heroes? Looks like J'onn is already going stir crazy.
3) Green Lantern is now bald and has a goatee. You know, it just doesn't work. (Also, he should be the last person to complain about anyone going off half-cocked.)
And:
What I like about Stargate: Atlantis so far.
The Scottish doctor.
The line "I shot him."
The energy iris on the Atlantean Stargate.
What I don't like (but put up with for sake of the story):
So, everyone on this side of the Stargate speaks English too? Amazing, considering that it's been millions of years since anyone has come through that Stargate, and English wasn't even around then.
Amazing how Tayla's people don't look any different from humans. You would think that 65 millions years of divergent evolution would give them something.
What I don't like:
Wier being the most undiplomatic diplomat in any sci-fi series I've ever seen. I don't think it's possible for her to work harder to piss people off.
The constant dumping-on of Tayla's people.
No one has just outright slapped the shit out of Rodney. (I like the character, but someone needs to pimp-slap him.)

I keep missing the show....
I also like the line "I'm sorry that i'm the only one who comprihends how totally SCREWED we are!!"
I can think of several games (both TT and LARP) where that line would have been perfect...
Like ever session of ShadowRun I ever played.... lol
I must have missed what happened to Gen Hammond, but I fucking LOVE how O'Neil is not in command of SGC... that just rules...
and the first Ep of Atlantis where he's talking about how that one guy disobeyed orders, and Wier says "I've seen your record..." and all he can do is nod in that "ok, you have a point" way...
PS... remind me which one Rodney is...
no subject
Hammond is in overall charge of Earth's defenses, and O'Neil no doubt reports to him in the chain of command, but O'Neil runs the SGC.
Oh, the actor who plays Hammond wanted more screen time and a bigger role other then "Okay, have fun going through the Stargate", and he and the producer couldn't reach an agreement. AFAIK, he's no longer with the show.
Finally, Rodney is the guy who says "I'm sorry that I'm the only one who comprehends how totally screwed we are!"

I loved Hammond as a character...
