...And people expected him to stay dead?

I mean, I haven't kept up with comic continuity lately, but I remember everyone, EVERYONE knowing that Cap Am would be back to life sooner or later.

Actually, when Marvel killed him off, they were quite insistent that he was going to stay dead.

Yeah, but I don't recall Marvel saying, for Colossus, that they weren't going to bring him back. They did say that for the Torch. In interviews and everything.

They actually did say, when they offed him, that Colossus was dead for good. They didn't want to cheapen the character's sacrifice.
