They make USB drives at least up to 64 GB now.

I know this, because they're selling them on woot.com today.

Really, who needs that much memory on a USB? (I say this having not managed to fill a quarter of an 8 GB USB.)

Ah well, to each their own. This time next year (or the year after), 64 GB will probably be the standard size.

I have a 32gb one for work. Comes in handy as I'm able to store multiple ISO's on it for installing software on location without lugging around a bunch of miserable disks.

Music and video storage would make sense-big iPad has what, 32gig total? One episode of a TV show is half a gig, I have 4gb worth of podcasts on my phone still to listen to (probably time to delete some).

If you're travelling and watching video while travelling, storage would be useful-every episode of Doctor Who since it rebooted in 2005 is about 45gb, for example, too much for an iPad or similar.

I'd not have use for it, but then I haven't left this town for ages...
