Rick Perry has billed the federal government to the tune of $349 million, for incarcerating illegal immigrants in state prisons and jails.
Now, jail is not what I first think of when I hear "taxpayer funded resource", but YMMV. Still, this could be very easily turned to show that yes, the illegal immigrant problem must be handled by the feds, so all the border states can just shut the fuck up with their bullshit legislation. (To note, Texas has not done some of the bullshit legislation like Arizona and Georgia have. They're not lily-white on the matter, either, but Perry has at least acknowledged that the crap Arizona has done wouldn't fly in Texas.)
