Today is the anniversary of the death of Joshua Norton, Emperor of the United States, Protector of Mexico. All flags shall fly at half-mast, and a period of mourning shall be observed.

I just learned about him 2 months ago, that is so weird! If you think about his era, the number of people that turned out for his funeral is unprecedented.

Tell me about it. I don't think you'd have 30,000 people lined up to pay their respects to Bush. Maybe to make sure he was really dead, sure....
