I don't always remember my dreams. I understand that's fairly normal for most people.

But I've had this one recurring dream that I do remember, going on six months now. I've been horribly injured in some sort of accident. Sometimes it's a car accident (single car vs. fleshy human), sometimes it's a hostage situation kind of thing.

It's not a "horribly injured oh shit I'm going to die" kind of thing, but the dream speeds up to the aftermath, where I have one of my lower arms amputated because of well, whatever happened. And I get it replaced with a prosthetic. Only instead of getting something that looks vaguely normal looking (in an Uncanny Valley sort of way), I get something that looks like it belongs on a Terminator. Metallic 'bones', pistons, that sort of thing.

And there's a doctor saying that they can get me a normal one. And I just look at my new metal arm and say "no no, this will be fine".

I wonder what that says about me. I mean, I've joked about wanting to replace my eyes for years, but that's because I hate wearing glasses.

People would be less prone to bitching at you at work if you handed their change back to them with a cybernetic human-crushing arm.

Could come in handy. Pickle jars are sometimes hard to open.

Stops being a pickle jar when you've crushed the lid. There would definitely be a 'training period' involved.

Hah.

Also, let's hope it's not one's primary hand for Alone Time.
