WHY IT'S A SOCIALIST PLOT!!!!
Maryland law bars schools from automatically forwarding ASVAB scores to the military.
Okay, here's the thing. I took the ASVAB back in high school (as did my brothers![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
egearman and mithras), and we all scored amazingly high on it. Like in the top 5 percentile or some such. So we actually had a few branches of the military asking us if we'd like to join. (Army, Navy and Air Force. Shockingly, the Marines showed no interest in our massive intelligence. I wonder why.)
However, I can see where parents might be a touch concerned these days. After all, we're still in Iraq, Afghanistan, and patrolling the Med for Somali pirates. Along with whatever else is going on (occasional rumblings at the Korean DMZ, etc.).
You know, however, the Teabaggers or Limbaugh and his ilk will jump on this.
