It's either going to lead to a lot of Chinese guys leaving the country so they find them some women, or China is going to have a huge surge in homosexual activity.

Or a societal breakdown.

See it's 'cause the menfolks go out and work, while the womenfolks stay home and make babies one legally allowed child, probably another boy.

The way their culture goes, the son stays close to his family and his wife comes across and helps out with the in-laws...so in that way a boy in an asset to them because a girl child will just leave when she gets married and you have no other kids to look after you when you get old.

However- for the grown up first generation of 'one child' policy, they are allowed to have 2 children if both parents are only children themselves...
Imagine a country where there are no aunties or uncles or cousins or brothers/sisters :-S
