Shane McMahon is resigning from the WWE.

Uhhhh... okay. Wonder if this means that his wife finally talked him out of all the crazy shit, or if something else is going down.

Shane McMahon is the son of Vince McMahon. Vince is the owner of the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). Now, in the past, Shane has been in some wrestling matches, and taken some stiff bumps and done some things that he probably shouldn't have as he doesn't have the same level of training as most of the other professional wrestlers in the WWE. It's been rumored that his wife really didn't like him doing that sort of thing. (She apparently had no problem with him helping to run the business, but his being on the receiving end of suplexes and whatnot worried her.)

On the other hand, Shane's sister, Stephanie (who is married to WWE superstar HHH - real name Paul Levasque) is a lot more involved with running things (booking matches, coming up with storylines, etc.) then Shane is, and this has been the case for a few years, at least. So maybe Shane thinks the company is in good hands and is just looking to move on to something else.

Either way, he's well off enough that at only 39, he could probably just retire and spend time with his family.

Yeah, there's always been the thought that the company would end up in the hands of steph and H. I think they both have good heads for the business, and Vince has to get off of t.v. at some point. If it does go that way it'll be interesting to see what the product looks like. All that being said his mom does need some help on her campaign so that could be a cause as well, but your right I'm sure his wife is happy to see the end to all of the groin shots lol.
