So, reading about the fires in California

Homes being burned, the inevitable mudslides that will happen later this year... I've come to a conclusion. (Actually, I came to this conclusion a few days ago.)

I have a solution for this. No one in Southern California is allowed to own anything that makes a spark. Yes, this would mean that everything (and everyone) south of Fresno has to go back to a neolithic lifestyle.

Sorry, but them's the breaks. The laughter you hear will be the Native Americans over in Nevada, laughing at you from their casinos.

This is actually the eco-friendly plan.
The non-eco-friendly plan involves paving everything south of Fresno.

(Yes, yes, O brother Eric, I know I said Sacremento in the car. But then I looked at a map. Sacremento is just a little too far north.)

Sadly, California is just the kind of state that would actually try to pass legislation along these lines.

It's not too late to take a jackhammer to the state line and set them adrift, is it?

Frankly, I just like the idea of Hollywood "high society" being forced to live in a neolithic setting.

Only if we can forbid people from building in Florida. I'm pretty tired of Miami getting wiped out every other year by hurricanes.
