So, I've been having a lot of robo-calls and other such annoyances

and while I got call-blocking activated on my phone, it doesn't seem to work for any of the numbers that are actively harassing me.

However.... I answered the phone a couple of times (I've just been letting it ring, in the apparently vain hope that if they didn't reach me 20 or so times, they would stop), and it turns out that my name and phone number were somehow added to a few lists for "online college classes" and assorted other crapola.

After assuring two different organizations that I already had two college degrees and didn't want any more (thanks, much, but it's not like I'm using the ones I have), and then assured another couple companies that the apartment building owner would not let me install an alarm system or a satellite dish....

Well, the calls have just dropped off almost completely.

And I resigned up for the "Do Not Call" list.

Silence is golden. (Or it would be, if I weren't listening to The Offspring right now)
