Hey, I'm not saying she's rocket-scientist smart. But there's plenty of material that we can prove she said. Hell, if Ted Stevens ends up not being seated and she takes his place in the Senate, I'm sure we'll get plenty of opportunities to poke fun at her.
Actually, I think her being in the Senate would be a good thing, because if she's out of the spotlight, people might forget that she's dumb.
Fucking hell, whatever happened to checking your sources? The "blogosphere" may be a big rumor mill who jumps on anything the moment they find it, but what is MSM's excuse? They've got all the contacts, all the resources, and yet they seem to be doing about the same amount of research as any joe blow with an internet connection.
It's because of the 24-hour news media. You have to be the first one with the story, regardless of whether everything has been checked and double-checked.
That won't change until there's some huge, well publicized, multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit.
