It could be... or it could be a sample from House of Pain's "Jump Around". Everlast was part of House of Pain, so it's very probable he'd sample his own work. But it's not like that noise wasn't used by a number of groups.

Yeah, someone needs a reality check. It made me think about the fact that while John Lennon got shot, yoko ono didn't even get any shrapnel. That's what this cover reminded me of.

why? Is it because I made reference to a tragic event? The reason I made the comment was to say that everlast reminds me of yoko ono, in his effort to cover a classic. I am not saying that he should be shot literally. Even good artists make bad choices, this is one of them.
