So I've started playing World of Warcraft again

I'm alternating between playing my only level 70 character (a human rogue), and finally giving a Horde character a decent try. I have to say, though, the fact that all the Horde cities were laid out by morons with no sense of urban planning is not helping this any, and the general lack of good posture is not enticing either.

With my rogue, I'm realizing how insanely easy it is to get Shattered Sun reputation. There are easily a dozen daily quests that give between 150-250 rep per quest. And thanks to the human bonus, I'm gaining rep even faster. The drawback to all this rep? There's actually nothing here for me to use it for, until I get to Exalted.

You see, once again, Blizzard added a faction that offers nothing to Engineers. There's another dozen or so Jewelcrafting rep rewards, but nothing for Engineering. (To date, there are four rep rewards for Engineering, two of which almost no-one goes for any more, and one of which is a green smoke flare.) Wrath of the Lich King (the next expansion) is supposed to address this (hahahahahaha), but we'll see.

Edit: Jesus H. Tap-dancing Christ, is it double-extra-retard day on the forums?

No, no. This is truly special.

One guy asked if he would be able to transfer his characters over to Wrath of the Lich King, not understanding that it's an expansion.

Then there's some dweeb wondering if there's going to be level 80 PvP gear for when he hits level 80. (Well, duh!)

And then there's all the "Will Class X be removed from the game in WotLK, because you're nerfing them so badly! WAAAAAH!"

BTW, I still haven't heard why you were in the back of a base cop car. And how is the vacation going? You climb Mount Fuji yet?

I think it took me a little over a week or so to get to Exalted with Shattered. With the Shammy there were a couple of good weapons/armor and decent Enchants. Of course for really insane Rep gain there is Keepers of Time with 2 relatively easy Instances I was at Honored, and a part way toward Revered, which got me the final piece of the Shaman Armor set.

*nod* See, my problem is that with my Rogue, there's going to be damned little that is an upgrade through faction rewards that doesn't also require running instances. Given my normal playing times, I don't run instances. The last one I know I ran was pre-BC. I've barely stepped foot in any of the BC or Caverns of Time ones.

So what it comes down to is that I look and see if there's anything near there. Unfortunately, as my Rogue has decent weapons and armor, the answer is usually no. Also unfortunately, as Blizzard has their head up their ass when it comes to putting Engineering rep rewards in the game, I also get left out there.

I could have Shattered Sun rep at Exalted within a week or two at most, but the only thing it's going to get me is the Scryer necklace.
