Ok, so 400mg extra a day is a 28% increased chance of lung cancer.
The researchers extrapolated their findings, and concluded that over a decade, there was an additional 7% increase in risk for every 100 milligrams taken per day.
Really? I didn't know that extrapolation was "we divided by four". I always thought it tended to be a bit more complex than that.
*shrug* For all I know, this study was done by the same wits who concluded that "too much soda is bad for you, but we determind 'too much' to be about 300 cans a day, which is more then anyone could conceivably drink".
My multi-vitamin gives me 833% of my daily allowance of Vitamin E, which is anywhere from 140-235 extra mg of Vitamin E (depending on the source of the Vitamin E).
So, this is actually something that the average person could run into.
I love this bit....

And you know what? We're all living longer and better than before. I refuse to live a life of worry and fear.
/has health food nut Mom, always dropping off pills and herbs to 'make me better'.

Unlike the soda scare or the Alar scare.
