I dunno, I'm kinda torn on this one.

On one hand, saying "Oh no, we'll NEVER bomb Iran, they're free to do whatever the fuck they please." is, at best, foolhardy. Even if you're never planning on doing it, you NEVER tell those fuckers that. Leave them to believe that if they fuck up TOO bad, we will do to them what we did to Iraq, which was to completely dismantle the government strata and reduce the whole place to pre-WW2 conditions.

Say what you want about Iraq, we have screwed that country up for decades. It's just fortunate that nobody, and I mean NOBODY, here in the U.S. gives a rat's ass about the Iraqi citizenry.

On the other hand, I do not trust out government (to do anything properly) to carry out the bombings in an efficient and effective manner. I'd be dead suprised if the attempt ended up being another "Aspirin Factory Bombing" fiasco.

If I were running, my position would be "I am open to letting the Israeli's bomb Iran".

Yeah, Iran is one of those situations where probably no matter what we do, it's not going to end right. But you'd think with that situation already occuring (and has been occuring) in Iraq for the last few years, Presidential candidates would at least think about what their policy might be.

And yeah, we'd probably fuck up the bombing. The Israelis? They might could do that shit right, but it would make them even more of a target then they are already for practically every other country in the region.

Possibly the only saving grace in all of this is that it seems that Iran's population is getting more then a little tired of the shit their president is pulling, and the clerics who actually run things are starting to get the same way.
