Okay, I was wrong

My microwave is not getting more powerful as time goes by.

Rather, the instructions on a particular type of microwaveable meal are wrong. Way fucking wrong. About as wrong as the instructions for a microwaveable meal can be without somehow adding a refridgeration step.

Okay, Company A makes several types of microwaveable pasta meals. (Fuck you, I can't cook for shit, and I like microwaveable pasta.) Type 1 pasta meal, according to the instructions for cooking, takes 4 to 5 1/2 minutes in the microwave. I have never had a problem with this type.

Type 2 pasta meal, again, according to the instructions, also takes 4 to 5 1/2 minutes in the microwave. In two different microwaves (one at home, one at work), it barely goes two and a half minutes before fountaining pasta sauce into the air, and then all over the microwave.

I'm serious. I just got done cleaning the microwave.

And now, I have no mid-shift meal.

Which brand?

This is good info to know, as I am also cursed in the kitchen.

Betty Crocker's Bowl Appetit!

The one I've never had a problem with is their Garlic Parmesan (I think that's it... I know it's got garlic in it). The one I always have a problem with (and am never buying again) is their Pasta Alfredo.

What makes the whole damn thing weird is that, as far as I can tell, the pasta noodles for both types are the same. It's only the powder mix that's different. But apparently, it's different enough where the garlic one is fine, and the pasta alfredo = FOOM! messy microwave and ruined meal.

At least I only have another hour or so here before I can go home and eat something.
