On why I have no respect for the Pope.

He's doubled-down on being against gay marriage.

Yeah, yeah... first there's all the same boilerplate happy horseshit about how it ruins families, because as we all know, no problems ever happen in a heterosexual marriage. Anything that does happen is due to gays beaming gay-rays in through the walls as they drive around town. Because Jesus. Or something.

But then we come to this:
In his recently released annual peace message, Benedict said gay marriage, like abortion and euthanasia, was a threat to world peace.
........

What?

You know, I'm only a casual student of history, but I'm pretty sure that World War I didn't happen because Archduke Ferdinard was fucked by Gavrilo Princip. Or that a plot by a heretofore unknown homosexual Polish conspiracy was the impetus behind Case White in the lead-in to World War II. The Russian Revolution didn't happen because Rasputin was having hot man-love with Tsar Nicholas. Wars have happened for many reasons. Because of trade. Because of assassinations. Because of desire for power.

But I think I can safely say that no war has started because of the existence of gay marriage.
Church teaching holds that homosexual acts are "intrinsically disordered," though it stresses that gays should be treated with compassion and dignity.
Well, then... here's a thought.

STOP BLAMING THEM FOR SHIT.

Oh look
