Thanksgiving is next week. Which sort of gives me a mini-vacation.
You see, I normally go in to work Wednesday-Saturday graveyard shift (which means working until the next morning). But we're closing early on Wednesday. (We're normally a 24-hour store that doesn't close. And yet that concept confuses people.) And we'll be closed all of Thursday.
So I work Friday and Saturday next week.
I have five days off.
And my D&D game isn't meeting next week because people will be going out of town, so I don't even have to worry about planning for that. Although, in fact, I've actually got 90% of the next game (two weeks away) planned out entirely.
On the 'hrm, I wonder' side of things, I am probably going to be meeting my brother Eric's girlfriend for the first time. I'm going to have to be me (a sarcastic asshole) because if I am otherwise, he'll suspect I'm up to something, but I feel I should go easy on her, because she's also going to be meeting my mother, and that's going to be bad enough for the poor woman. (The poor woman is Eric's GF, not my mother. Just to make things clear.)
