A few weeks ago, I wrote a tiny little piece of fiction that had a Neanderthal private investigator in it. As sort of a bit of throw-away bit, I had mentioned that thousands of them emigrated from Russia in the 80s.

Well, it turns out that traces of Neanderthal DNA can be found in modern-day Siberians.

So, once again, I've got something I can't fully recall stuck in my head.

It's a cartoon character (probably a cartoon animal), who has been the victim of your standard cartoonish violence, and he's saying "It... never... ends..." with, I want to say, a Scottish or pseudo-Scottish accent. (And I'm reasonably sure it's not Scrooge McDuck or Groundskeeper Willie.)

Does anyone have an idea on what this could be from?

Yes, that's all I can remember.
