Still sick, but getting better (I think)
May. 28th, 2011 09:00 amI'm on different meds this time. Instead of something called Z-pack, I've got an antibiotic called Doxycycline Hyclate. Apparently, it doesn't react well to dairy products, because I can't have any of those 2 hours before or after taking the stuff.
Which pretty much rules out a lot of my standard fare.
So I'm pretty much eating soups and things like that. It's a damn good thing I like Ramen.
I also have some 600 mg Ibuprofen for pain. And then there's the ear drops. Of course, given how much of a hairy bastard I am, I practically have to shove the eardrop thing in my ear to insure that the drops get where they need to be. Feel uncomfortable as hell doing that, and holding my head to the side for a few minutes after application so they can 'sink in' or whatever it is they are supposed to do.
And I do have to go back to work tonight. It shouldn't be too bad, though. Memorial Day weekend is usually pretty light to begin with. And I have Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights off.
I'll know Monday morning on whether I'll want to call off my D&D game for the week. I hope not. I do rather enjoy throwing things at my players and watching their reactions.
