All that unrest has spread to Syria. These demonstrations got a jump-start when the Syrian authorities arrested 15 schoolkids for writing anti-government graffiti. Of course, they (the Syrian government, not the schoolkids) have opened fire on protesters already, so this isn't going to pleasant, no matter what.
Also, Gaddafi is promising a 'long war', now that outside forces are involved. Well, I don't know about that... I mean, yeah, odds were good that he would have crushed the lion's share of the rebels inside another week if the U.N. hadn't got involved, but I can't see this Gaddafi staying in power past the end of April if the U.N. decides to cut him off at the knees.
