So...

I just finished reading "Ghosts of Manhattan" by George Mann. I borrowed it from a friend, which actually ended up being a good thing, because if I had bought it, I probably would have felt a little ripped off.
It's not a bad book, by any means, but parts of it are just so damned predictable. It's set in an alternate timeline, post World War I (albeit a much different World War I), and the Ghost is a vigilante by night, and a vacuous playboy by day. (Yes, it's very much either an homage or straight ripping off Golden Age Batman.) I have to admit, though, that the cover art is very good, and what got me interested in the book in the first place.
Next up, "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter". (No, I'm not kidding.)
