Joe Lieberman opposed to expanding Medicare to people 55 and up.

For those who don't know, Medicare normally kicks in at age 65 OR if you meet certain criteria, earlier then that.

Anyway, Lieberman says he will vote against that proposal, and he also doesn't like a government insurance program focused on home health care for the disabled.

Of course, Lieberman has access to a pretty damn good health care plan through the Federal Government (aka on the taxpayer's dime), and is over 65 himself (he's 67), so he'd be eligible for Medicare anyway even without Uncle Sugar paying for his premiums. Just strikes me as a bit hypocritical, that's all.

But what the hell... he's already abandoned his 2006 campaign promise for a public option, and he's gotten close to a cool million in campaign donations from the health insurance industry, so it's not like he considers himself beholden to the people who fucking elected him. (Dear Connecticut: You are idiots. Love and kisses, Kierthos.)
