Nov. 9th, 2009 01:30 pmI've been working at the same place for nine years now, and the entire time, we've had a soda machine at work. Well, not the same soda machine for the entire nine years, but we've had one continuously. For most of that time, sodas (20 oz. name brand) had been $1 apiece. Earlier this year, it went up to $1.25. Hey, couldn't last forever, right?
Sometime between last Wednesday and Sunday, they went up again to $1.50 apiece.
*sigh*
Now, the company I work for has little control over the machine. It's owned, operated and maintained by Pepsi. About the only thing we can control (and only slightly) is what is stocked in there. It's mostly because of me that there's two Dr Pepper trays in the machine.
But I can buy Dr Pepper at three places within walking distance of work, where all three are on the way to work, for cheaper then this.
Or, and this might just be crazy talk, this could be the incentive to stop drinking sodas at work.
