Aug. 30th, 2009 11:43 pmI'm somewhat of a fan of alternate history fiction. And there's some good fiction out there in that genre, mostly by Eric Flint (and his collaborators) and Harry Turtledove (probably the master of the genre).
You know what I've noticed, though?
I can't seem to find any fiction where Germany, Austria-Hungary, etc. won World War I. Sure, there's the Command and Conquer: Red Alert computer game, where World War II doesn't happen, because Einstein goes back in time and takes out Hitler, but that's not the same thing.
There's probably a book in this idea somewhere... if only I could write worth a damn.
