A while before Christmas, I got my hair cut (as a gift to my mother). It is no longer reaching halfway down my back. If I can find my camera, I'll take a pic.

The Michigan primary is today. Because the state government moved their primaries to this early date, they have been bitch-slapped by the parties. Half the Republican delegates were removed, and all of the Democratic ones were removed. Also, Edwards and Obama had their names removed from the ballot in Michigan. Possibly not the smartest move, but with zero delegates, it probably doesn't matter. (Please note: At the Democratic National Convention, Michigan may get their delegates back, but they may not.)

Romney needs a win here. And if he can't get one here, he may not get one anywhere. He's the son of a former and popular Michigan governor, and it's his home state. (Yes, yes, he was the governor of Massachusetts, but he was born and raised in Michigan.) I think he's going to win, but by a very slim margin, just edging past McCain. Which would mean that each of McCain, Romney and Huckabee would have one primary win heading into South Carolina. But a close second will bolster McCain.

Predictions:
Republicans - Romney
Democrats - Clinton (but it really doesn't matter because her top opponents aren't on the ballot and Michigan has zero Democratic delegates.)
