new comic up on [livejournal.com profile] scurrying_light. I actually thought of this one a day or two ago, but hey, priorities... that Runecloth isn't going to farm itself.

between sending something via DHL Worldwide shipping or entrusting it to a blind hedgehog, go with the hedgehog.

Apparently, a package that arrives at their station in West Columbia at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday cannot be taken to the post office until after noon on Monday. Because, you know, having someone at the receiving station on Saturday automatically precludes doing anything with a package for over 48 hours, and then when they do finally shift it somewhere, it takes them four hours to get it to the post office in West Columbia, where I can only assume that the USPS will take three days to deliver it.

I live in Columbia, right across the river from West Columbia. Even if the DHL package reception point was at the furthest point from the main West Columbia post office, it would take, tops, twenty minutes, thirty if traffic was atrocious to get from A to B. Because, you know, getting things to the USPS before the mail trucks go out, nah, can't have that kind of efficiency.

Fuckwits.
