I'm really disappointed with SG-1
Mar. 19th, 2006 03:04 amOkay, first off, watched the two "Doctor Who" episodes from Friday. Really good. I'd like less commercials, though.
Now... no new SG-1 or SG: Atlantis episodes until July? Okay, I guess I can live with that... Atlantis continues to interest me, although I still wonder how Wier is considered a good diplomat. *shrug*
As for SG-1. Okay, I like most of the previous seasons. The Goa'uld made great villains, because they were manipulative, power-hungry, and had personality.
The Ori however... well, they're manipulative, sure. They're power-hungry, okay. But there's no personality. I mean, come on, Non from Superman 2 had more personality, and his lines were grunting and squeeking noises.
Plus, the Goa'uld were defeatable on many different levels. You could out-shoot them, out-think them, come up with neat toys that actually worked against them for more then one episode. The Ori? *shrug* The only thing of theirs that has been stopped was the plague. Their ships are disgustingly unbeatable, and unless Mitchell, Teal'c and Daniel were Ascended at the last second, well... they're fucked.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great cliffhanger. But it just seems like such a crappy plotline. I mean, unless the Wraith are going to get sic'd on the Priors and suck all the "Ori" out through them....
