Yup, going to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. I've probably watched this movie a couple dozen times now. I have other movies that I've actually paid money for (Pirates was a gift), that I've watched once or twice, and then they start collecting dust. (Although, let's face it, I really need to watch Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels again as well.)
I've always liked pirates, and it just seems appropriate to watch this movie before Halloween. Yeah, I know some people would watch scary movies. There are at least three "monster movie" marathons on different stations right now. But I've seen most of those movies before, and a lot of the ones they're showing... well, they suck. Other people I know use Halloween as an excuse (or one of many, another excuse being "because it's Friday!") to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show. But I'll tell you, without
mithras around to yell lines with me, it's not as much fun. Besides, him yelling "What demonic chicken stepped on your forehead and stole your neck?!" is still the best single line I've heard at RHPS.
Ah well... perhaps on Monday I'll indulge in my one of my other favorite Halloween activities and lurk about a graveyard.
