Why don't we just skip to the part where they tell me my papers are not in order, and I'm hauled off for questioning?

Quite frankly, it's been a long time, if ever, that I thought our government was still of, by, and for the people, but when the fuck did we become the kind of place where we only saw in third-world shitholes of movies? (You know, not necessarily real third-world shitholes, just the stereotypical movie version.) I mean, fuck, they were told not to do it, they said they wouldn't do it, they went ahead and did it anyways, and they're not even competent enough to hide it better?

Yeah, I hate the level of paranoia the government has, but goddamn it, could it at least be competent paranoia? At this point, I would almost rather gargle Tinactin then trust the government to not fuck something up, and having Bush in charge is not helping matters.

I swear, I should just declare myself the legitimate successor to Emperor Norton I, disband Congress and start handling things my way.
