I really hate this
Apr. 13th, 2005 04:06 amI hate working alone on nights that I'm not supposed to work alone. I hate it when the customer traffic is such that as soon as I finish dealing with one customer, another is waiting. I hate it when I can't get any work done on the orders we've taken for the next day until half of my shift has gone past.
I hate customers who can't make up their fucking minds. I hate customers who somehow manage to have a 25 page powerpoint file blow up into a 250+ Mb file when we try and print it. (No, it didn't work.)
And, of course, one of the machines broke down bad enough that it's been down most of the night. This machine, of course, is the one that needed to be running a job the entire night so that it would stand a gnat's chance in a supernova of finishing on time. Now, there's no way it will finish on time. And I don't really care anymore.
