Well...

I think it's safe to say that I like Worlds of Warcraft. (egearman was kind enough to give me a 10-day trial account)

Currently trying out a Tauren Shaman by the name of Metokis on the Argent Dawn (East Coast) server. That, in itself, should tell you something. I normally hate playing spellcasters of any kind in fantasy MMORPGs. But this... I can blast monsters that are my level (or even one or two higher) to a quarter of their hit points by the time they get within melee range, and then pound them the rest of the way into the ground with my mace. Plus, I have to say, Herbalism and Alchemy rock.

Still, a leading contender for second favorite character (on the same server) is a Dwarf Hunter (named Thragar) who is big on firearms and Engineering. Making your own ammo rocks. And let's face it. Dwarves. Guns. How can you go wrong?

Although, I'm probably going to try a Rogue of some kind before I settle on a character... Oh, and egearman, dear brother, you can probably go ahead and make a full version of WoW a Christmas gift. :)
