Okay, I've recently learned something that bothers me...

It seems that DC Comics is planning on bringing back Hal Jordan as Green Lantern.
Yes.
Hal Jordan.
The man who, as Parallax, tried to rewrite all of reality and caused Zero Hour. (note, this was a bad thing)
Of course, he's also the man who was the plot device behind the return of Green Arrow. (note, this was a good thing)

Still, it makes no sense. DC had a wonderful option to bring back Hal Jordan some time ago, when a time-traveling Kyle Rayner (the current GL) brought a "blast from the past" version of Hal to the present. Oh well.

Of course, this is the same DC comics that has let Bruce Wayne get his spine healed after Bane broke it, but refuses to let Barbara Gordon (Oracle. and originally the first Batgirl) take advantage of any of what, at this point, must be a number of ways to get full mobility back. Sure, there was a brief occurence in Birds of Prey (the comic, not the TV series) where she got to walk again, but it didn't last. Still, think about it. She has numerous connections with heros, not just the Batman. She has friends in the JLA, the JSA, and all throughout the world. And she can't get any of the miracle cures for her paralysis?

Oh well.

There will always be something I don't like in the comics I read. Hal Jordan's return will get far more of it, I imagine. (I expect Green Arrow to give him a whole lot of shit. In fact, I demand it.)
