Air conditioning is good. I always forget how nice it is until I have to go outside during the day. And it's just the middle of May. I hate to think what it will be like in July.

So there is a Jackie Chan movie coming out next month. I desire to see this. Of course, I still work nights, which means I may have to beat my friends about the head with a ball-peen hammer to get them to grasp that they should wait until the Sunday after it comes out to go see it so that I may go with them.

And I really ought to get a haircut soon. Need to chop a few inches off the ponytail. Alas, the barbershop in the building moved, so I will have to locate another one nearby, or get a ride to one. (Given that the barbershops downtown mostly cater to the business types, a mall barbershop/Hair Cuttery may be much safer.)

I continue to be convinced that the music industry is sowing the seeds of their own destruction. The RIAA keeps saying that record sales are down, but really, when the first song you promote off of a new album is a cover song, what the hell are we supposed to think about the rest of the album? Obviously it sucks so much that the best part is the cover song. (And here's a hint. Covering Belinda Carlysle may not be the best choice, Jessica Simpson. Why don't you just go back to being insanely stupid on TV?) And there is a hard rock version of Chris Isaac's "Wicked Game" out too. No idea who sings it, but damn. Can we see some original songs please?
